1500 Heineken bottles to shape the Heineken «Colosseum», built in Rome

The 26^th of May 2009. In anticipation of the UEFA Champions League final to take place in Rome the 27^th of May, Heineken has fashioned a construction in the shape of the famous Colosseum, made of 1500 Heineken bottles, limited edition Rome Roma 2009. The construction weights 1,109 kilograms, is 1.4 meters high and measures 3.5 meters in diameter.

The Heineken Colosseum is located in the Rimini Central Station of Rome, where it will remain till the end of May. During the entire week preceding this event, visitors got the opportunity to take pictures with the miniature Colosseum.

“The Heineken brand is renowned for its innovative campaigns that offer memorable   experiences to their participants and which create acknowledgement among the consumers. The Heineken Colosseum of Roma is another proof in this respect,” declared Marius Meleşteu, Marketing Director of Heineken România.

This year, in Romania, Heineken has offered its consumers, the through organized campaigns the possibility to travel to Rome and see the UEFA Champions League final. In the same time, through the global contest “Star Final”, Heineken has offered those who wished to watch Rome’s final in a special location.
